Beginning of November the crewed yachts presented themselves to the yacht brokers in two 2016 crewed charter boat shows. The first boat show was held in Yacht Haven Grande in St. Thomas and the second show took place at Nanny Cay Marina, Tortola, BVI . Our broker, Abbie Turner, has visited around 120 crewed yachts and met with the crews for the upcoming charter season. These annual charter shows are important to update our knowledge of the crewed yachts, so we can recommend the best crewed yacht to our clients.
The St. Thomas Charter Yacht show had 54 charter yachts and the BVI Charter Yacht Show had over 75 charter yachts on display. Lots of new yachts and crews and great deals! The yachts made a lot of effort to present themselves beautifully, with all their toys on display and the table set for a luxurious dinner. The chefs presented themselves with offering homemade cookies, snacks and flavored waters. They also offered lunches to some of the brokers, which is a perfect way to experience what they can cook in their galley and how they present themselves with serving the lunch. Some chefs also entered their dishes in the culinary contest.
CULINARY CONTEST
This year was the 11th culinary contest on the BVI Boat Show. This is a chance for charter chefs to showcase their culinary talents and the theme this year was ‘Eat Smart, Eat Fresh’, with four categories – appetizer, entrée, dessert and the most creative use of the sponsor’s ingredient – Mount Gay Rum.
AND THE WINNER IS….
There were lots of winners in various categories, but the winner of BEST OF SHOW was the Fountaine Pajot 67′ Catamaran “LIR”
How these Charter Shows Benefit You
Every year we see new yachts and new crews entering the crewed yacht charter fleet and our crewed yacht specialist Abbie Turner visits them on the boat shows to see these yachts, what their specialty is and to meet the new crew. But also the more seasoned yachts will present their updates, upgrades, new water toys, new decorations, and new offers we need to know about. With all this knowledge we will try to select the best sailboat, sailing catamaran, or motor yacht that fits your needs and budget.

Hey,
Really nice post & the clicks are awesome. The dishes are salivating my mouth. The second plate which you gave here I had eat that on my Greece tour. I had a dinner party on O’mega Yacht given by My best friend James. He booked that yacht from Med Waves Charters. That dish was really awesome . I enjoyed a lot on that night.
