What is happening in the British Virgin islands in 2017? We have made a list of Events and Activities we thought you should not miss while you are here in the BVI for your sailing vacation. Maybe you want to book your next charter around one of these events…..
1. FULL MOON PARTIES
Monthly
Full moon parties in the BVI are spectacular and have something for everyone. Island music, dancing, local cuisine, art, shopping, and heavy partying make these beach-side festivals perfect for a great night out.
There are 2 locations to join the Full Moon Party:
Bomba Shack, Capoon Bay
This is a street party next to the Bomba Shack Bar in Carpoon Bay. The party starts late and Bomba himself serves his infamous Midnight Tea at the stroke of midnight. The tea’s special mushroom ingredient may or may not be legal by BVI law, but it is hallucinogenic!
Fire Ball, Trellis Bay
This is a beach party in Trellis Bay, right next to the Beef Island Airport. These parties are known for Aragon’s gigantic FireBalls, which are set on fire on the beach and in the bay. The Fire Balls sculpture and water-side events make the party family friendly. Brightly costumed stilt-walking Moko Jumbi dancers tower over the crowd as they dance to steel drums and Reggae and calypso sounds.
