Anegada is a beautiful destination in the BVI to sail to on your charter and most people visit Anegada to explore the beautiful white beaches, snorkel on the outer reef, maybe see the flamingo’s but definitely also to eat the famous Anegada Lobster. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, but in this blog, we want to introduce one of the newer restaurants on the island: The Wonky Dog bar & restaurant on the water’s edge at Setting Point, Anegada.
The Wonky Dog is not the typical Anegada restaurant because its chef-owner Peter is actually an honest-to-goodness trained chef.
On the menu you can find several varieties of lobster dishes like the Wonky Dog Lobster with seared Foie Grass, Lobster Thermidore, Lobster Rockefeller, Jerk Mango Coconut Lobster, Lobster Toulouse Pasta or just Grilled Anegada Lobster or Surf & Turf.
If you want something else than lobster, then there are also plenty of other fish, meat or vegetarian dishes to choose from. Don’t forget to reserve some room for their gorgeous desserts. For their menu, click here http://www.thewonkydog.com/menu.html
Make reservations early and review the menu before you call (284-547-0539). They take your order and it will be ready when they seat you at your table under the stars. Dinner is mainly served at tables on the sand near the water, which is limited and you do need a reservation. Remember, it is the islands so your dress will be beach casual (bathing suit and t shirt is the way to go!).
After dinner you can enjoy excellent cocktails with lots of entertainment. The bartender, Aaron, is fun and puts on quite the show. Aaron serves amazing drinks and then juggles the bottles as he mixes the drinks and blows fire while a server plays the drums! Later at night he gives an impressive fire show.
