This is our third time chartering with BVIYC. The BVIYC staff were welcoming and friendly – thank you for another fantastic sailing vacation! Four of us from Colorado chartered the Shelly Kay, a Lucia 40 catamaran. We did a sleep aboard the first night to get familiar with the brand new boat and it’s electronics. We had excellent sailing conditions with 15-20+ knot winds. The cat performed perfectly with no issues the entire week, and it comfortably accommodated our group of four. Seeing the devastation from Irma and Maria was humbling, and the resilience of the BVI residents was inspiring and heartwarming. We were encouraged to see that rebuilding is ongoing everywhere. We were glad to see Cooper Island Beach Resort, The Bight on Norman Island, and Marina Cay open for business. We were warmly welcomed everywhere we went. We are already planning for 2019. “BVI STRONG”
