Becky and I have now done the process twice. We will say the first time (Dec 1 was a little bit disjointed). Several processes were not finalized and facilities were not yet ready.
This second time on January 24th, the process was very smooth. We submitted our travel request BVI – Travel Authorisation (bviaa.com) and it was reviewed and approved very quickly. The only snag was that for Becky we needed something to prove her reservation of where she was staying. Abbie was able to add her name to the charter document and we were approved quickly.
We arrived at the airport, The travelers were escorted to the new testing facility on the grounds. 22 hours later we have our results.
Day four we went to the hospital for the next test. The turnaround time from the boat to the hospital and back was very quick. They have a great set up now for processing the visitors.
About 24 hours later we actually received 2 different emails. The first was the negative results. The second was a copy of the negative results and a letter stating we were cleared from quarantine.
The islands all are looking great. The weather has been fantastic. Everyone is happy to see some people coming back.
Our time at Scrub Island was great as well. The team there treated us like royalty.
