Brandywine Bay is a secluded bay on the south side of Tortola, just around the corner from BVI Yacht Charters and is known to be surprisingly swell-free. This wonderfully calm and secure anchorage with white sandy beach has 2 mooring balls, with plans to extend this number to six very soon and is an excellent option for charter guests at the beginning or end of their sailing vacation.
The main reason to visit Brandywine Bay is to visit one of Tortola’s best restaurants: Brandywine Estate Restaurant. An institution on the fine dining scene in the British Virgin Islands, they serve delicious French Cuisine with beautiful views across the channel. Owners Claudine and Regis have added a new dinghy dock on the east side of Brandywine Bay to offer easy access for their charter guests to their restaurant. The dock is only a minute walk from the restaurant. Now charter guests have the perfect option for lunch and dinner and the mooring balls are free of charge when you are dining with them.
Unfortunately, our monohulls cannot use the moorings in Brandywine Bay, because of their deeper draft, but can anchor easily in the sandy bottom of the bay, further from the beach in deeper waters and still use the dinghy dock to visit the restaurant.
