We chose Ithaka because she was a good size for our group of 3 couples and she was new. We heard about BVI Yacht Charters several years ago when we saw Silver Girl (also beautiful) at Oil Nut Bay. We were very pleased from the moment we stepped aboard until our charter ended. The staff at BVI Yacht Charters was extremely helpful from the moment we booked our trip - all the way through - answering questions and helping with our planning. This was our 9th trip chartering in the BVI - and first with BVI Yacht Charters - previously with Moorings. It was nice to be able to chose and know exactly which yacht you were getting. We are particular about the boats we get and the Moorings can only guarantee an age range (so, 0-1 years if you want something new). We found even with a 0-1 age range, we were getting very worn out boats and were not sure of the exact layout until we arrived and checked in. Ithaka was spectacular and exceeded our expectations. The owners had provided every convenience (ice maker, water maker, 2 fridges and a freezer, awesome sound system, comfortable seating in every gathering area) and since it was new, everything was in excellent condition. The master "suite" was unbelievable - so much space and natural light and a walk in shower!
