Sailing with Captain Doug and First Mate (and incredible Chef) Val on the Gambit sailing the BVI was an incredible experience Their team work was impeccable! The stories of their life experiences were amazing to hear and gave us a glimpse into a life adventure of sailing and their native South Africa. The meals that Val made in the little kitchen were amazing and the presentation was like being in a 5 star restaurant. It was eight days of adventures... scuba diving on the Rhone, early morning hikes, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, beach walks and so much laughter. We had asked Doug and Val to take us to their favorite spots and not to focus on the "tourist" places that most charters take you and in some of the spots we were the only boat there. It was a privilege for us to share their home.
