I almost hate to write this review for BVIYC because I don't want more people to discover them :). We had not been to the BVI since '99 and I had a lot of questions prior to our trip- all of which were promptly answered. This included question on the ferry to get to Roadtown, provisions, etc. I was initially hesitant to charter a cat because I prefer (and own) mono hull sailing. But the cat turned out to be great for family comfort and was actually enjoyable to sail. I have yet to sail a boat that does not have something wrong with it, even one just off the factory floor. There were a few minor things that were reviewed prior to sailing (so that we would have other options if we were not okay with those things). But the boat (42' Lagoon) exceeded our expectations in terms of sailing comfort and extras. I also had expectations for waiting to be briefed at the start and waiting for a debrief at the end but all those processes were very smooth. The office staff is very busy but still make time to answer questions. The deck hands are awesome as well. Overall it was a fantastic week of memories and we plan to come back again, and will definitely charter with BVIYC --- please don't sell out to one of the "big guys!"
