What a time! Our crew of 6 boarded VIDA, a newer 42’ Cat, on April 28th, with little Cat experience but lots of enthusiasm. Our Checkout Captain, Keith, was calm, cool, and collected and brought us up to speed in a matter of 3 hours. By the time we got to Norman Island we all had some skills and designated duties, including the Mooring Maidens, the Nav Mate, the Helmsman, and the Swim Deck Boss. After Norman it was smooth sailing to Peter, The Baths, BEYC, Anegada for 2 nights, Cane Garden Bay, Josh Van Dyke for 2 nights and Nanny Cay for 2 nights. Can’t say enough about the support from BVIYC all along the way, not to mention the sailing, swimming, snorkeling, and Painkiller swilling. Met so many returning cruisers, like us, and we’ll be back again. Great time!
